I have a 1996 Chevy chassis and have a manual retract. It comes with a hand crank that is 3-4 feet long that I can manually retract the slide which is electric controlled by cables. I had to use it several times before I realized that there was a switch inside off a storage compartment that would get turned off by my bike handle bar. So I would say look for a manual retract hole probably in the step area inside the door way and also a switch. Sounds like your jack system is separate from your slide out. I have the HWH jacks but I'm sure someone with the power gear jacks will be along shortly. Good luck.
