GO up on a ladder and check what is hanging it up.
Top bracket.....then lift up on arms and see if it releases
Check for loose mounting bracket bolts top and bottom
Awning arm not aligned and jamming......then extend awning fully and see if fabric has shifted on roller. Fabric needs to be evenly spaced on roller or it will wind up crooked and jam (either closed or won't fully close). Measure from edge of fabric to end of roller and shift fabric so it's the same on both ends.
Then when you get it working correctly install a short fat screw right at the edge of fabric in roller grove to keep fabric from shifting again.
