Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I don't believe it has to do with the canvas. It appears to be rolling up straight. The problem is the bracket won't release.
Old Biscuit. I have climbed up there and nothing seems to be catching. I can't see anything even rubbing against it. It wiggels. Almost like the left side roller just doesn't release. Thats why I was wondering if the latch on the right also is supposed to release the roller on the left.
I will try as Johno02 suggested and see if theres someone around here who works on RV's.
