A check list

We are brand new to this does anybody have a check list they do before they leave the house with their rv and when they leave a campground? Any help would be great!!

  • I currently use the "clothespin method"—I have a small pile of clothespins with checklist items marked via sharpie. They start clipped to the sun visor in the cab, and are removed and dropped in the doghouse storage bin as they are dealt with.

The current pile, in random order:
    Sewer (disconnect and/or dump)
    Water Fill
    Water Hose
    Compartments (outside compartment doors latched)
Water Pump (turned off—personal preference for travel)
    Welcome Mat
    TV Antenna
    Oil (check level in engine)
    Trash
Bedroom Blinds (rear window ones opened, sides secured)
    Electric
    Awning
Bedroom windows (side jalousie windows need to be closed for driving)
    Tire PSI
    Count Noses
    Prayer

I'd have one for the entry step, but it has its own light on the dash on my RV that I figure ought to be a sufficient reminder. There is also the general "stow stuff so it doesn't go flying" that needs to be done.

    Clean off slide
    Hitch latched
    Breakaway cable
    7 way cord not pinched
    Awning latched and locked
    Steps in
    Handle in
    Stabilizers up
    Chocks removed
    Landing gear high enough
Nothing to fall on stove knobs
    Landing gear support knobs tight
    Sewer hose tray latched
    All compartments locked
    Door locked
    Windows closed
    Antenna down
    Bikes locked and secured
    Vents closed
    Cupboard doors barred
    TV off wall mount
    Wedges under slide
    Tire pressure
    Items off counters
    Tail lights working
    Water pump off
    Wheel leveling boards picked up
    Slide closed properly
    Test tug hitch

Landing gear? Test tug hitch? The op is in a class C, you may be confusing him? Also, why take the TV off the wall mount?? Good start, one thing I would add is check antenna to be sure it is down.

    I don't see your list.
