There is no doubt about electronics and how quickly they become obsolete, just look at the evolution of cell phones and computers! The first Mac I bought ran on plastic discs with hardly enough memory to remember my name. The Mac I use today can run an entire space program from rocket design to launch and everything thereafter and its 4 years old. The newer ones can do all that and run the New York Stock Exchange while its in sleep mode.
I’m really not that concerned from the electronics standpoint because you’ll NEVER keep up with it. To me the key is to be happy with what you have and make changes as circumstances demand. I know a lot of people and I’m not happy to tell you I use to be one of them, who had to have the latest, the greatest and money and practicality had little to do with it.
The more I think about it the more I like the idea of a pre owned Newell/Prevost for a lot of different reason. One of which is that I believe someone buying a coach that started at $1,500.000.00 in all likelihood is going to take care of it. Even someone who buys it used for $700,000.00 is going to do the same thing. Yes there can be exceptions but I think the rule would apply to most owners of a high end rig, they will take care of it. And what money can you put on driving a classic! Newell for example makes something like 28 coaches a year, an instant classic by any description!
I have no doubt that you guys regardless of the value of your rig place a high value on the way it looks and how well it works. Maybe thats the best part of owning a MotorHome, the last part of the word is ---- HOME ----- and we place a high value on that!
