Foodsman, in my opinion, the Magnas and Affinities were in competition with the high end Monaco's, Beaver's, or any other manufacturer that were high end at that time, etc., anything that was in the $600,000-$800,000 range. I had a friend that customized a new '07 Monaco Signature that boosted the MSRP to $1M. (a total waste in my opinion). He wanted different cabinets, custom upholstery, black dash and black front seats, etc.
The difference was the CC's were built totally different than a Prevost. Regular motorhomes are built on a slab chassis (no walls), then built up from there. A Prevost comes to the converter as a driving shell. The motorhome is converted through the entry door and/or the windshield for the larger items.
So, they were not in competition with Prevost unless it was a Prevost CC.
