You didn't say what time of day it is but late in the day the sun can put a lot heat through a west facing windshield. And you have a 36ft long side catching sun all day.
If you read ALL the comments you will see NOBODY at his end has or can read a correct Thermometer. So, there is NO WAY he is getting 42 degree air. Doug
