I would bet most of the crashes are driver error. When we travel we always see MH.s traveling at a speed limit over whats posted and many times 70 plus miles per hour. We see on every trip people in a MH. traveling way too close to the vehicle in front of them.
And I would bet most MH. owners do not do a brake check or walk around checking components daily.
Increase the distance between you and the person in front of you as much as possible 8 times the length of your MH. will greatly reduce the element of surprise and panic stops. Use your mirrors twice as much as in your car and slow down and enjoy the ride.
Pick up a commercial truck driving manual at the DMV. and read it often.
