Acrylic Slide Topper? What do you think? Worth it?

I'm thinking of replacing a worn vinyl slide topper with an acrylic slide topper. What do you think? Is it worth the extra dollars? Does it last longer? Thanks in advance for your thought. La...

My patio awning and 4 window awnings are acrylic. The were installed in 1997. The cloth is still flawless. I think acrylic is a good investment.
