Advice on new fantastic or Maxx fan
Our fantastic fan in the bathroom has died. Looking at a catalog for these fans I see that most come with a built in thermostat. I'm confused what this would be for. Our other fantastic fan is wired ...

Neither of our Maxx fans are wired to the wall. All controls , on/off,direction, thermostat, and open/close knob are on the fan.
The original Fantastic Fans were unidirectional; we wanted bi directional and were quite cross when the dealer changed the Fantastic fans for Maxx fans. I believe the Fantastic Fans draw less current and they are certainly quieter.
