Wall thermostat is much better, but since Fantastic Fans are very reliable, the ones you see aftermarket are aimed at replacements for the cheap OEM fans some models have. To avoid a wiring project the thermostat is on the fan.
As suggested, I would see if your fan is warrantied. Have you checked your thermostat to confirm your problem is not there?
