MM, great story about getting stuck.
it reminded me of a fun story from way, way back.
My first summer in college, driving a semi with a sod boom on back, hauling sod for a local company.
I had to back into a bunch of places there trying to get close. And one day I got it stuck. Going to happen sometime, like bending a prop.
The boss was not pleased and said just stay put, he was on the way. I assumed with a wrecker. Nope, he pulls up with his well worn Buick 225 with Uhaul hitch, wraps a chain around the front bumper of the big Ford semi, and sure enough, pulled us out.
Of course I do believe it ultimately cost him a trans job.
But mine was not to question why.
He hired me, I figured I'd be a sod laborer, hard work but I grew up on a farm, and that didn't bother me. I started a year earlier so I was eighteen at the time.
He asked me what college I went to. Brown sir. Well, then you ought to be smart enough to drive our big truck and chucked the keys to me.
As if any higher education has anything to do with driving skills...
but he was the boss, and I never did dent his truck, so he was happy.
so as long as a trans doesn't get unhappy and you have a decent pull point, like a real hitch, with awd on pavement, yeah, even a small car can get quite a grip. I bet you wanted to pat it on the roof and say good job when you were done. :)
