Do This Cleanup from Chris Bryant next time you're in there and you'll think you have a new A/C unit.
I just changed the blower motor on ours and did the cleanup at the same time. Having the blower out gave me the chance to also clean the indoor Blower Wheel, and it was filthy. Far and away the dirtiest part, but the Evaporator (Indoor) coil had a goodly amount of dirt also.
From Left to Right: Compressor Run Cap, Fan Run Cap, Compressor Start Cap. Above: Compressor Start Relay. I have a Dual Cap that replaces both Run Caps, and a SUPCO SPP6e that replaces Start Cap and Relay.
It's not ALWAYS the Cap, but frequently it is.
