As said by Chris Bryant, clean the coils.
The son in law and I were on a fishing trip to Clearwater Lake here in the east side of MO. The temp got to 94 that afternoon and the a/c would not do the job. I had only own the C for a short time. We talkedabout it a bit and decided that maybe the coils were dirty. Dirty was not the correct word. The coils outside literally had a blanket of junk on them that he could peel off and all we had was bottle water to wash the coils, whild in there he open up the case and cleaned the inside coils, they were dirty with a small blanket of dirt on them. Well after that litle cleaning we had a/c so we could enjoy the rest of out trip. Simple fix.
