Air Conditioner Shroud

I recently ordered two new ac shrouds. Replacements for Dometic Duo therm. I ordered them from Camping World and picked them up today. The new ones are exact but, do not have vent holes in the side. I assumed Camping World ordered the wrong ones but when I went on the internet it looks like they are the correct replacements. Is this new stuff? They are on 06' Monaco so possibly things have changed but feel a little worried. Any help?

    My A/C covers had cracks across the top and the mounting holes were cracked/broken.

    I priced new ones and they were over $100 each. No way.

    So I duct taped the inside of the covers and reinforced the mounting holes and used rubber gaskets under the mounting screws.

    I've painted mine to match the color of the coach so after my repair job I painted them again and they look like new.

    They sure are flimsy.

    Thanks Doug. My model is in the 600 so, guess they did send me the correct shrouds. Just no aid vents like my old ones.

    One other thing. In all my ac manuals penguin is not mentioned.

    Ok Thanks. Still don't know if I should return them to Camping World and see if they have shrouds with the air vents. I looked on the internet and still don't see my original style.

    And when you remove the old A/C covers watch out for wasps. Been there, done that.

    You must have Penguin units. There are 2 versions. The original Penguin's did not have the holes. The newer style Penguin-2 has the holes. When replacing it is CRITICAL to make sure the included Foam seals are installed. That makes sure ALL air is drawn THRU the Condensor coil. You can use the Penguin -2 on your model. With the added holes it will get more air thru the Condensor. Doug
