Airport Parking (Not Boondocking)?

So you're traveling and you get a call about a family emergency back home. You need to get to an airport and fly home. Do airport parking lots allow RVs? How about the surrounding "park and ride" lots? I've never really noticed.

I know there are "secure hold" lots for tractor trailer rigs scattered all over. Wonder if they allow RVs.
  • I work near the Columbus, Ohio airport and have seen an RV in one of their parking lots. It is a parking lot furthest from the airport.
  • I've left my Class C in on-airport lots at Orlando, Milwaukee and Pittsburgh. All noted oversize vehicle accommodations in specific lots. Just plan ahead; private lots nearby should also be available, just for an increased dai!y charge over what a car would be
  • Some do, some don't. I've found that remote lots tend to be more flexible, but they will charge based on how much space you use. Most RVs will take up more than one airport lot parking space. I've had to park several miles out for a larger vehicle, whether for a flight or a cruise.
