Not ONE poster on this topic, that have actually used AirTabs, has said they help with mileage. That was not their reason to install them.
That said:
Most Fed-X ground carriers are contractors, thus Fed-X has little or no control of add-ons. UPS on the other hand, does own almost all their ground rolling stock. Haven't seen any air tabs on UPS trucks.
