Alternatives for storing sewer dump assembly - sanitary?

I have a 1998 Roadtrek 190P which houses the sewer dump fitting in the large storage compartment along with the city water hookup and fresh water hose storage, outdoor shower, and the electrical power...

My Leisure Travel has a four foot section of four inch PVC mounted under it. I have seen it under other brands. I have seen them on As, Bs and Cs. It works well.
