Am I going to regret going C

I have owned both and each has advantages. Weight and storage in Class C was not what we needed for five of us and a golden retriever, so Class A. When it is just the two of us, I would be surprised if we don't go back to a Class C 24 footer or so with no slide. Take your time and you will choose wisely. Good luck!

Just take note that MH's with multiple slides or what I call "slides R us"........

All the ones I looked at when the slides are all in you can't get to anything inside the MH.

When I am traveling one of the reasons I bought a MH is to NOT have to use public bathrooms and to be able to sit inside my MH at a rest stop and/or get a bite to eat and be able to sit at the table. etc. Without having to deploy the slides to get to any of it.

I've seen slides block the sink, fridge, the bathroom and anything in the bedroom.:(

Here You Go, an Allegro Breeze 28' DP with walk-around rear bed. The sales guy claims 16 to 18 mpg but I would not bet on the "average" being that good.

If its just the 2 of you probably not a downgrade. It would depend on if you are wanting to be one if the in group and have visitors in and what not then a small a would probably be a better fit. We have 28ft B+ but its only the 2 of us. It meets our requirements for the travel and convenience and we do tow a car. I drive a school bus so I did not want to think of fun and cl a as fun. Plus we would have storage issues that we dont have with the smaller c/b+. We have 2 slides the dinette and the beroom, yes it would be possibly better with 3 but why? We looked at a couple and they were nice but when closed up! With ours we have stayed with friends on the streets with no issue, could not deploy the slides but that was still ok. one neighbor of a friend said to park in his driveway they were in the process of moving to a new home so we did. also stayed in driveway of inlaws when visiting with them, with slides open.

So a smaller c or B+ in our case makes sense. The storage issue is one to think about but then you adjust and carry less junk! We have bays dedicate to certain items and still have some room, nothing for large outside patio items like chairs etc, but we make do with the foldup/rollup chairs and a small BBQ.

We chose the B+ for aerodynamics, just like the big rigs. We had a cab over camper and it was a big sail so unless you need over cab bed consider 1. Some do not have entertainment centers and there is some storage room there.

You can certainly get a 32' 'C' with decent OCCC as my own (2900+ pounds) and Mich F's (3200+?) Winnebagos can attest to.

However, at least for mine its definitely more rental grade. The weight savings comes at a price. Perfectly functional, and leagues better than my hybrid TT or Pop-up, but nobody will confuse my rig w/ a luxury coach either.

Take this for what it's worth, for it is just my opinion.

If I were going to invest in a 30+ foot rig with slide outs, I would surely look at a class-A over a C for I feel C's that long with slide outs are too close to, sometimes over their weight limit. Not just the chassis, but even the tires become over-loaded, running a higher risk for blow-outs.

A few years ago at a rest area, we parked next to a 32' diesel pusher with one massive full-wall slide out. The owners were kind enough to show us around, inside and outside. I thought that was such a sweet rig considering the short length for a DP. It had mobility & very comfortable full-timing written all over it.

I feel that is the right way to go if you can afford it. If we were to go with a 30 foot rig, I personally would add the 2 feet and look at used DPs to work with our finances.

HERE IS A 2002 Beaver Monterey 30" diesel pusher, so 30 footers exist.

I see alot of people keep mentioning weight when talking about slides. How much extra weight does a typical slide add? If one is that close on weight with what the manufacturer builds and rates it at, then one needs to think otherwise.

If you or your peers think that Class A is somehow classier than Class C you may have regrets. There are intangibles. I think that our 27 foot class C "fits in" better at local parks and events than most Class A's, especially longer Class A's, but that's mostly "gut feel".

Remember that the longer the Class C, the more slideouts you have, and other additions like automatic leveling systems will substantially decrease the amount of people and stuff you can safely carry. No matter how much room you have, weight is the limiting factor. Good luck with your decision.
