I have no idea!
The only grooving I have done is to large lugged off road tires, tractor tires and large mud tires.
None of which was to reduce noise.......it was all about bite/grip at low speeds.
Personally I would not be 'self-grooving' any tire that I planned on running at speed.
There is way too much knowledge needed to 'tune' a tire for running at speed.
And I don't have that kind of money to experiment around with.
