Martha, my wife, is a 'sotan, and I spent 2-1/2 yrs at the U getting doctored to teach.
Depending whether the MH lifestyle is to be an integral source of writing material, you should play w/ the $ numbers of the rolling motel. I guess that even a used MH will need a monthly payment of around $300, and depending on where you stay, maybe that much or much more for 'rent.' You will likely keep your car as a toad, but your overall gas bill will probably more than double.
Like someone said, it can be expensive to own, operate, insure, maintain, and park a MH. Then again, if you can pay off a student loan, you can probably do anything!
