I don't think your experience is the norm and your maintiance prices seem way to high like 2x.
Mine is a toy,it's a diesel pusher and it's almost 20 years old.
After 2-1/2 years I have put maybe 3k into it the first few weeks after I purchased it because it did not come with a single service record and I wanted a starting point.
Someone said something about not owning a DP unless you are going to use it 100 days a year. If that were the case I would never ever have one. I have no desire to full time or even part time in a rv. After a couple weeks I'm ready to get back to my comfy home and all my other toys.
