I know every situation is different. In 2007, we bought a new in 2008 Monaco Dynasty, 42 ft. tag axle, 425 HP Cummins ISL. We drove it for 7.5 yrs. and just shy of 70,000 miles.
When we sold it on consignment, we got back 49% of our original investment price-wise after 7.5 yrs. . After paying the commission, we received 44% (none of this is considering tax). Personally, I don't think that is too bad. We had regular maintenance and a few repairs, also new tires (8) through the FMCA Michelin program. I also changed out the 8 lead acid house batteries to 8 AGM's (best move ever). The new tires and new batteries that year was $10,000. We got to use them for a year and half before we sold which I thought added value to the coach at 'sell' time.
We were traveling when diesel was almost $5.00 a gallon. Fill-ups near $700 stung a little but we had a blast (we were being gouged by the big oil companies)! I realize now that over those years, we really didn't have any huge problems or expenses. We never broke down and never had to be towed.
MM.
In a side note where did you put the 4 extra coach batterys and was it much $$ to wire in with the 4 factory ones
