Yup. Once you go to Florida you learn everything about ants.:(
I use Sevin around the tires AND around all the cords/hoses coming from the MH. Only use the 'powder'. The granules are poison to pets. AND I always keep ant bait under all the sinks and couch.
If you already have them IN your MH the ant bait does take quite some time to work. Here is a new ant killer tip I just found yesterday that is supposed to kill them instantly.
Snippet from ant tip website:
Ingredients:
– 1 cup of warm water
– 1/2 cup of sugar,
– 2 tablespoons of Borax.
- cotton balls
Soak the Borax mixture up with cotton balls, and then place the cotton balls near any trails the ants have established in your home.
I’ve tried this recipe at my home, setting out the cotton balls at night and waking up to find dead ants. Works like a charm.
