Any experience with electric bikes?

I was looking at the Jetson also, but backed off, because of the reviews I read. I really want an electric scooter type that can carry the DW & myself from our camp site to our favorite fishing hole within the campground. Say one mile max. And also be small enough for her to handle solo. And must fit on a carrier on the back of our B. Id hate to spend slightly less than $2,000 per electric bike and have to buy a pair of them to fill out fishing need, but rather spend $2,000 and have one that would carry both or either of us a mile or so. Any and all help and opinions are welcome.
