Any problems with plastic coolant tank on Cummins engines?

Yes they don't do well exposed to sunlight.I changed my tank and now have a cover to protect it. Be careful as it is not a expansion tank like on a car it is under pressure like the rest of the radiator.
I have heard of some replacement tanks made of metal but haven't tried one. I think the last one lasted 10 years so if I can get the same or better service with the new one, protected from the sun, I will be happy.
