Any real world Macerator experience ??

I made my own with a Jabsco macerator which is the pump and motor almost everyone uses. I only use it when I am dumping at home as the impeller does wear down, loses vanes and needs replacing periodically.

As mentioned, it is wise to take it apart and inspect it annually as it is no fun when it quits pumping and you have to deal with a gallon or so of raw sewage between the valve and the pump.

Also will jam if a kid puts a candy wrapper in it (Been there) or a female type puts a you-know-what in the tank, Been there too.
