What about the flowers? What kind were they and will they survive?
They are Iris's. They are in pretty good shape, and will survive just nicely.
Thanks.
Funny back story. Years ago, I was working on a house, and we had some mums planted at the one end of the house. 3 different plants of mums, all the same color - yellow.
Due to some spring construction, we ended up trampling all over one of those mums, during a work day, while it was wet.
My wife was really upset by the end of the day, telling me that we had killed her one mum plant.
I told her not to worry, as it would survive, and might even thrive. She didn't believe me.
By the time fall came around, that mum plant that we trampled all over, was 3 times larger than the other 2, which were not trampled on.
I told her, it gave the plant time to grow bigger roots, which would support a larger plant. (I don't know. I know very little about plants, but it sounded good)!
We've had a running joke about that mum plant ever since. Had a lot of laughs over the years.
NO, that does not give you permission to stomp all over your wifes plants, OK?
