Here is the updated manipulated picture.
As I said, it's a little bit deceptive, since it was kind of a close up. I'll take another one from farther back, as it changes the perspective a little.
Sometimes, it looks better to me, other times, just a bit "busy".

I only have enough wallpaper to do the end of the counter on the passenger side, but not the wall. The good news is, the paper is removable, and since the wood is covered with lacquer, there should be no damage when removing it.
Maybe I'll put some up, look at it, and see what the wife thinks, and go from there.
