We like plenty of light, and normally use the "daylight" (or bright), led's, in the range of 5500 to 6000K instead of the warmish look like an incandescent.
Once we get something at the other end of the kitchen, that will also change the look, for the eye.
Like I said, fortunately, if we don't like the looks of it, we can always just pull it off. Some of the stone look will be partly covered up from the counter top down anyway.
