Final test was to apply some 3M #78 adhesive to the plywood, wait a few minutes to allow it to become tacky, then apply the wallpaper on top of that.
Next step was to apply 2 coats of Por 15 over top of the wallpaper.
Again, no cratering, and the wallpaper has a wonderful shiny coat. Would obviously need to be top coated with some kind of clear coat to protect it from the sun damage.

After looking at that for a little bit, I thought.....
"Things that make you go Hmmmmm".
It really makes the wallpaper look like a million bucks, (so to speak). This may have some additional possiblilties.
I haven't tried Lacquer or any other finish over top of the wallpaper, YET! Hmmmmm.........
