The answers are correct. Unfortunately, 2 x 3's are only 1.5" x 2.5". Years ago - actually before my time, they used to be an actual 2 x 3. When you look at lumber they show a Common Measurement which would be 2 x 3, and Industry standard, which is 1.5 x 2.5.
Plywood sometimes will be labeled as nominal and actual thickness, which are not the same. It's a bummer.
If you can't read the pic, hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard, and hit the + sign a few time to increase the size. When done, hold down Ctrl and 0 to reset.
