I have been wanting to add a cabinet over the toilet. This area here will stick out about 10 inches or so, directly over the toilet. I put a few pieces in place temporarily to see how it would play out when standing in the shower, and more importantly when sitting down on the toilet and standing up after using same.
When standing up, I lean front to get my weight directly over my legs and as such, this cabinet area will not be in the way. It's high enough when seated, and when leaning front to sit and stand, is well out of the way, so it should be fine, and give us extra storage. Wahoo!
