- zigzagrvExplorerOver the years, and there have been many, I have made dozens of 'jigs' for projects and have them hanging all over the shop. Problem is, I have forgotten what some of them are/were for and how they were used. Your measuring jig, however, is obvious and can be used on many projects.
- By the way. I did manage to pick up a couple of wingnuts and bolts today in stainless steel to replace the screw in my gauge I made last week.
- Hope everyone had a great Easter Day.
Today was one of those days, where you just want to get through the day and start over tomorrow, hoping things will go better. Lol.
I think I'll be able to get more work done on the drawers tomorrow. - We now have one in place, while the other one is waiting for the glue to cure.

By the way, before someone asks- this is not going to be an - assemble one drawer a day until finished. Lol.
I just wanted to get the top two in place to see how it would go, and then I can finish machining the other drawer pieces and assemble several at a time.
As a result, I am not expecting this to take 2 weeks to assemble 14 more drawers. (Ok, Ok, the applause can come to an end now)! Lol. - Here's a close up of the rear/side joint.

If I had used a pair of screws - screwed in from the side - no clamps would have been necessary. - And the beat goes on......
Second drawer assembled. This one is also a total of 4 inches high, and matches the first one I built.
- Turns out, that if you remove the little pads on each end, then a 24 inch piece will actually fit. There is no extra, but it will fit.

Well, there ya go......
- Here's another slightly useless bit of semi-interesting information.
You would think that purchasing a 24 inch clamp, would allow you to clamp items that are 24 inches in length.
Here's a 24 inch clamp that is from Harbor Freight.
