- While I was at it, I also wanted to change out the ones in the rear area where some of our storage will be.
The red arrow shows Kreg screw heads, and the blue arrow shows after the flat head screws were installed.
Looks a little cleaner, with less chance for something to get caught on, as well as making it easier to cover them up.
- WAHOO!
Intermission is over folks!
Make sure you're in your seats, seat belt fastened, safety bar fully down and locked in place, and keep your hands and arms inside during the ride!!! Lol.
Finally managed to get started again today.
First thing I needed to do, was back up a little bit, and change out some Kreg screws for screws with a flat head.
You may remember the drivers side counter had a slight bow in it, and I added a piece of plywood inside and out with glue to straighten things up.
I used Kreg screws at the time, which were not flat heads. Since I am getting closer to putting trim there, it was time.

There we go. That will work better with the walnut trim going in there. - Good evening everyone. Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy 4th of July!
I hope your weekend is going well, wherever you are, especially if you are with family and friends.
I hope to get some more work done this week. Wahoo! - Finally got the end upright piece in place today. I would have liked to accomplish more today, but time just did not allow it.

At this point, it looks like my schedule may change a little next week, and I'll be able to spend extra time working on this puppy.
Wahoo!!! - Here is one use that make it very convenient. On occasion, when I join 2 pieces of wood that are already the correct thickness, I add my glue, and hold them together with a wood clamp.
Then, in order to make sure the pieces of wood are flush with each other, I will apply the welding clamp for just a few seconds to make sure.
I'll then go down the line - (this setup was over 30 inches long), and apply pressure every few inches and the wood clamps hold them together properly.
Easy peasy.
After the glue dries, it just requires a little sanding, and it's all good. - Welding clamps. What are they good for? Lots of things.

- Almost had a calamity today. Well, not really. I pulled out an acid brush to apply some glue, and on about the second or third stroke, almost all of my bristles disappeared. Oops. Evidently, they were not crimped properly.

- Good shrink tape holds together and is re-usable for another round of glue later. I know, who cares, right? Lol. :)

How would you compare Titebond III to Elmer's?
I think they are both good. I used to use Elmers, but Titebond came out with their water proof line, and I switched quite a while back and have had good results, so I just stayed with it.- PastorCharlieExplorerHow would you compare Titebond III to Elmer's?
