- Bill1374ExplorerWasn't sure at first but I'm beginning to like the stone look.Doing the end of the counter makes it look much better.
- WanderlostNomad IIWell, that is impressive. Literally can't see the seam.
- I also managed to get the drivers side plywood installed at the end of the counter as well.
I then spent a while trying to get the wallpaper on it, which took me much longer than I was hoping for.
I did get 'er in there, and I now have the look I was going for.
When a novice like me does self stick wallpaper, it just takes a while.
- 2 pictures for tonight. I don't know how I managed to get the first one so out of focus, but I did manage it.
I have the plywood installed at the end of the counter on the passenger side.
- Well, today didn't work out like I though it was going to.
Remember the 2 pieces of plywood that I cut and Lacquered at the end of last week? The 2 with the yellow arrows? Pics below...

Yea, those 2. I was planning on screwing them in today and then adding some wallpaper to the one on the drivers side, to create a little "corner" effect with the stone.
When I picked them up, I discovered that I had not given them a final sanding right before the last coat of Lacquer, so they were not as smooth as I wanted them.
Soooooooooooo, I sanded both of those this evening, and gave them another coat of Lacquer, and will fasten them tomorrow, and add the wallpaper on the drivers side.
Oh, well. At this point, what's another day added to the build. camperdave wrote:
I like to let this thread grow for a few months before I catch up on it, gives more of a sense of progress and accomplishment that way.
And seeing as I have an extremely important work project today, I of course just caught up on the last 50 pages lol.
Looks great (well, except for maybe the wallpaper, but to each his own?), keep on keeping on!
I have a boat in my garage that started as a weekend repair about 10 months ago. I might be finished in time for next summer, I do understand project creep and figuring out stuff as you go...
Glad you are still around, and sounds like you have your own project going on there. Hope it goes well for you.
If I only posted every week or 2, it would look like I was getting more work done, but I would not post nearly as much detail.
Depending on the day, it may take me anywhere from 1 to 3 hours of computer work until I go through my pictures, choose which ones I want to use, then edit them, and post replies and post new info.
Some days are less than an hour, if it's only a pic or two, and only a post or two.
When there are replies involved as well as new info, it just takes a while.
Thanks for following.- camperdaveExplorerI like to let this thread grow for a few months before I catch up on it, gives more of a sense of progress and accomplishment that way.

1 qt of Lacquer was an additional $15.88. An additional piece of 1/2" x 4 x 8 plywood, was another $49.85. The wallpaper amounted to $83.11, and came from Home Depot.
That's a total of $148.84, and we add that to our prior total of $10049.95. New grand total of $10,198.79. Wanderlost wrote:

Have you decided on lighting yet?
I have never been a big fan of wallpaper, myself. When I looked at this, it looked different to me. It had a "depth" to it that I usually don't see with most wallpaper.
I saw this online, and not in person, so it was a little bit of a gamble, but after it arrived, I was happy with it. I have no idea how long it will last, but, hey, I'll give it a try.
Worst case scenario, I'll have to take it down.
Planning on Led's since we like to boondock a lot. The wife wants a couple of sets of string lights, which I haven't looked up yet, but will in due time.- WanderlostNomad III'm not a fan of wallpaper, but that does look pretty nice.
