Where would you hang stuff to dry??? ;)
In All seriousness, though, ours was a previous rental and didn't have a ladder and that was one of the things we negotiated in the purchase from the dealer. Our previous TT didn't have a ladder and we used a telescoping one that we always brought along...having one mounted is just one less thing to pack and shlep along.
Even on weekend trips there have been times that we want to pop up there and have a look...like after driving under low-hanging branches, or when someone's frisbee or ball or nerf darts end up on the roof "on accident."
