I ordered one last night. The estimated replacement interval is on the CR site here. The DIC-20 provides approximately 300 gallons of mineral-free, de-ionized water based on your water input quality. It consists of two 20 inch de-ionization housings that feature replaceable and/or refillable cartridges that simply slide into the watertight tubes. The entire unit is mounted on a powder coated, rust resistant rolling cart that makes it convenient to move into position and store away when finished.
"Based on your input water quality" means it's dependent on the amount of ions in the water, also known as TDS. The 300 gallon capacity is based on a TDS of 400 ppm. If the actual TDS is 250 ppm, the capacity will be 480 gallons. If it's 1000 ppm, the capacity will be 120 gallons. FWIW, the recommended peak flow rate is 1.25 gpm.
