if you didn't buy an extended warenty when youbought it then no,don't add one now. even some don't like extended warenties, but I got one that cost me 2500 bucks and I got 2000 back if I didn't use it in the 8 years, so that served me well, gave me peice of mind for just over 60 bucks a year. but I would not add one after the fact they are much more expensive and have more limitations on them. the better thing to do would be to take that 3 or 4000 it is going to cost you and just put it into a account for rv's repairs and then put 50 bucks a month in there to keep building it up.
I have bought 2 times an extended warranty at a total cost 0f $11,800. I still have 3 1/2 years left on the second. I have used it several times and because of how parts and reliable service are today my savings was $ 12,700. The total cost for everything was $24,500. So, you can see I have saved a lot of money over what I paid for the warranty coverage. The expense today of parts and service will only continue to cost more. Why spend all this money on a RV and not protect yourself from the possible future expense you may have. Why do people have health insurance...... for just in case. Remember it's your choice, so whatever happens down the road will be based on that choice you make. Also shop around for insurance and you will see it may not be all that expensive.
