Air suspension is dangerous if you don't know about tripod air. I'm sure some of you know more than I do so please help.
Two ride height control valves (RHCV), one on each side keep the vehicle level from side to side. One RHCV at the front or back keeps it level from back to front. A RHCV will pump or dump depending on what is required to keep the vehicle level. In a right turn the RHCV on the left side has the ability to fill the bag or bags on the left side to a preset maximum of 135 psi and empty the right side air bag or bags. If the vehicle is then turned to the left and the bag or bags don't have enough time to pump and dump in the other direction through the small air line, the vehicle is pushed up on the left side and has little support on the right side. Some of you have said, “ just slow down” You are correct and that is why I am writing this.
So what you're saying is if you drive your 30,000# 40' motorhome through the slolam course like your new Corvette Z06 it might be a bit unsafe?
Umm...OK - thanks - I didn't know that.
Dennis, I think you're 100% spot on.
