Each to their own! I would rather have a couple next site over who spend most of their time in their Class A than the guy who rents a site and invites 20 of his closest friends over to party.
When we travel we are more tourists than campers. We usually spend all day away from the campground riding our motorcycles, hiking, or kayaking. When we get back, we will spend more time inside than out. We also are not campfire people and enjoy reading so it is easier to do than itside the toy hauler.
I did get a chuckle about the "fu-fu" dogs. We laugh when we see dog owners always carrying their dog around, only putting it down to do it's business. I always ask "you out taking your dog for a carry"? You get some very weird looks and comments in return.
