Like most subjects, generalizations aren't really helpful and might give you exactly the WRONG impression.
It is ONLY your (two) impressions that count here.
Test drive, test drive, test drive.
And then when you find something you think you might like, see if they will rent it to you for a long weekend. They often will do that with used units.
My experience leaves me biased; I think most anything would be better than riding in a lurching pickup with a 5th wheel attached.
P.S. Depending on how "roomy" your requirements are, don't overlook a large C with slideouts. Some of them have as much room as a small A......and might fit right into your budget, NEW.
