Don't forget the upfit price. Morehead and Sportsmobile are do excellent work, but you get what you pay for, and both companies are similar in upfit price (I know... I contacted them.)
Expect to pay in the high 30s/low 40s range, depending on what you want. Their stuff isn't cheap, but the tools to do the tight curves and attach properly and safely to the van (so stuff doesn't detach and become flying missiles) is expensive. Plus, you don't want someone doing plumbing, electrical, and LP on the cheap either.
Also, RT, Winnebago, and other places use CAD/CAM, and use offshore makers, because they all have economies of scale. This is how they can do finely curved doors, overhead hatches, and other work, to maximize every inch of space, even down to custom shaped water tanks. A custom upfit place will do a decent job, but they won't be as fine-tuned as a place that has a standard floorplan mass-produced and down to a science.
