Are We Allowed to have a gun in an RV for protection?

Yes, the gun is properly registered in the state of MD. I do not have a concealed carry permit.

The laws vary greatly depending what state you are in. Whether or not your are driving or camped and hooked up also governs the status of a loaded firearm inside.

Most generally you are not allowed to have a loaded firearm while not stopped and camped....and additionally even an unloaded handgun is required to be locked up when not camped. Again, varies state to state.
