- DougEExplorerMy next trip I'm going to try a coat hanger antenna and use AntennaPoint.
- GTN_and_CatzExplorerTeleman,
Thanks for the info.
Other responders,
I realize there are other and better options using the external, crank-up antenna but, for a couple of reasons, that's not an option for me so I was looking for alternatives.
Gene - teleman2ExplorerI personally have not used one but my brother in law has . All our tv. stations come from Orlando fl. we live in Melbourne, fl about 80 miles distance and he gets all the major networks and gobs of the other channels. Just sticks in the window. His is the amplified version
- n7bsnExplorerWith antennas height and size matter. An antenna in your RV window is not going to work as well as the same antenna on your roof
- Triker33ExplorerThe amplified one should work well if you are within 10-25 miles from the TV tower. If not many trees and other objects between. Or range will be shorter.
Amplified roof Batwing good for 15-60 miles. - SnomasExplorerI use my original roof top antennae and signal booster. I get most all stations depending on where the camp ground is located!!!
- wildtoadExplorer IICan't believe this would provide better reception than a roof mounted antenna such as the Batwing/Wingman combo, Jack, or the new Winegard Rayzar Air. I suppose this antenna is intended to be mounted to a window? One really needs to have an antenna as high as possible to avoid interferance from ground objects such as other rv's.
And before anyone else says it there really is no such thing as a "HD" antenna.
