Arizona MH registration

We are considering a move from Denver to Sedona, Arizona. Can anyone tell me what I might expect to pay to register our 02 Dutch star in AZ. IE: any sales tax @ registration, any yearly personal property tax, approx cost of yearly lisc tags, etc. Present cost in Denver are about $180 because of age of MH.

  • If you go to the MVD site or the servicearizona site and try to figure out what you will pay, you will end up going insane. Anyhow, we've registered two different motorhomes in Tucson during the last two years. The one we have now is a 95 Foretravel. Registration for it was $260. The other one was a 99 Foretravel. It was about $600. Here we have to pass emissions annually which is a royal pita. In Sedona, you won't have to. Good luck.

  • My 1994 georgie boy pursuit only costs about $80 per year to register. They base it on how much the coach cost new, and it does depreciate every year. My 2007 pickup truck cost $700 a year when new in 07, now only costs $200 per year.

You won't need emissions check in Sedona as long as that is your actual address.

Sedona is outside the testing area, you won't need an emissions test.

  • Just did a title transfer on the ol 97' Eagle. I had to do a smog check prior to the transfer, and new AZ plates.

  • Just renewed the registration on my '02 coach a couple months ago. It cost about $300, most of which is personal property tax. No sales tax to register. Of course, your motorhome is likely valued higher than mine.
  • I'm guessing around $500. The calculation is based on the msrp of the coach when new. The cost goes down around 16% a year. There shouldn't be any sales tax, and there isn't a separate tax besides the plate fee.
