Yes, Arizona does check most parks during the summer, looking to see who is legal. We have left ours here for 2 summers and they questioned us the first year on having the RV registered in Florida, a declared resident of Idaho and the RV garaged in AZ year round. The documentation they required was not much and they are satisfied we are not trying to screw the state.
Our park is closed from 4/30 to 10/1, so there is no way we can occupy the RV for the 9 months they say is needed to be a resident.
