Aspen - Colorado - Date for Golden trees?
Tring to schedule a quick trip to the Mountains to see this years color, What do the locals think is the best date to catch the color? Vail, late last year September 29th State web site....

They won't last long, but certainly the aspens last longer than a week. I am thinking 3 or 4 weeks depending on snow and wind. You can never go wrong going the last week of Sept. Always very pretty. The higher the sooner they go, for sure. That is why you can see them in Aspen and go to Durango and still see them! Don't do it the other way around.
