Astoria. Check out the new Costco south of Astoria. Buy gas a Warrenton Fred Meyers. Best park is south. Beverly Beach SP, Newport. Then head to Waterfront in Newport. Buy a crab off the boat or go net for them youself. Also buy some fresh Tuna off the boat. Also visit Walmart in Newport for gifts. See Sea Lions on the dock. Mo's clam chowder. Check out Oregon Aquarium. Repley's, & Wax Museum. Depot bay has the Sprouting horn.

This is one of our favorite trips! Can't wait to try out ome of the rec's.

If you have a quilter/sewer in the family, you can add the Latimer Quilt and Textile Museum in Tillamook.

We like Gracie's Sea Hag for chowder, taffy next door and for breakfast try the Otis Cafe. It's on the hwy to McMinnville about five miles North of Lincoln City and three miles east toward Portland. German potatoes are great but get a half order the first time.

Yes, do go up to the Astoria Columne, the view is gorgeous.
ride the trolley in Astoria along the water front, it's fun, and interesting.
Go north across the bridge to the Lewis and Clark Museum. You can also drive out to the jetty.
Fort Stevens is interesting too.
Great Air Museum at Tillamok
Check out the Evergreen Air Museum at McMinville...it's a great place to visit.

I believe an SR-71 Blackbird is also at the Air Museum at McMinnville.

Beware if your staying anywhere near the Ocean where there is a Marina! If it gets foggy the fog horns will come on and keep you up all night. I found this out the hard way one night! Check the weather for fog when on the Oregon Coast before you Camp!
