Attached bicycle to RV ladder

I see people doing it all the time. Personally I think it is a bad idea. I would at least add an extra brace since I really don't trust the rivets or screws used on the ladder. When we transported 5 bikes I had a 2 inch receiver added to the front of the MH and used a bike rack there.
